You start in the capital, spend time with the country’s recent past, head north to Siem Reap, watch first light near Angkor Wat, and finish with a boat trip on Tonle Sap Lake before your flight home. It feels full, but not rushed. That matters more than most people think.

What You Will Do
You will begin in Phnom Penh, a river city with old streets, busy markets, and stories that stay with you. On your city day, we take you to Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum and the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek. It is a moving visit. For many guests, it gives real meaning to the rest of the trip.
After Phnom Penh, we take you to Siem Reap, the gateway to Angkor. The included plan uses a shared bus, though you can switch to a private car if you want a slower road day with stops along the way. Then comes the temple morning many people dream about: an early start at Angkor Wat, then more of the great temple sites around it. On your last day, you trade temple stones for water and village scenes on Tonle Sap Lake, then head to the airport with good timing and no last-minute scramble.

Day 1: Arrival in Phnom Penh

When you arrive at Phnom Penh International Airport, we will meet you and transfer you to your hotel in the city. The rest of the day is free. Rest after your flight, step out for dinner, or take a short walk and get your first feel for Phnom Penh.

Day 2: Phnom Penh
Today is about Phnom Penh’s past and present.
We begin at Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, also known as S21, a former school later used as a prison during the Khmer Rouge period. After that, we continue to the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek. This part of the tour is sobering, but it gives a fuller view of Cambodia and its people.
If you want to add more to your day, you may visit the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda, the National Museum, or Wat Phnom. A cyclo ride is also a fun way to see more of the city with less walking.

Day 3: Phnom Penh to Siem Reap
Today we travel from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap.
Your included transfer is by shared bus, with tickets arranged for you. If you want more comfort, we can arrange a private car transfer instead. This is a very nice upgrade for guests who want extra room, door-to-door service, and a few good stops on the road.
The private transfer uses a Toyota Alphard with an English-speaking driver. Along the way, you can stop at Skun Market, known for its local snacks and lively roadside stalls, and Kampong Kdei Bridge, one of Cambodia’s oldest stone bridges. A lunch stop is made at Batheay Restaurant or Prey Pros Restaurant, based on timing. Lunch is not included.

Day 4: Siem Reap and Angkor Wat
Today starts early. Very early. But it is worth it.
We leave before dawn for Angkor Wat, so please bring a torch or use your phone light. As the morning sky begins to shift, you will see one of the world’s great temple sites in a way that feels quiet and unforgettable. After Angkor Wat, we continue through the temple area for a full day of guided sightseeing.
You will visit Ta Prohm, where giant tree roots wrap over old stone walls, then Ta Nei, then Angkor Thom and Bayon with its many carved faces. It is a big day, though the route flows well and gives you a strong look at the Angkor area in just one day.

Day 5: Tonle Sap Lake and departure
After breakfast, we depart at 8:00 AM for Tonle Sap Lake.
You will take a private local boat to Kampong Pluk or Chong Kneas, based on the season. This morning feels very different from the temple day before. You get water views, stilt houses, boats, and a last look at daily life in Cambodia before your departure.
After the boat trip, we transfer you to Siem Reap airport. For a more relaxed finish, we suggest booking your outbound flight from 4:00 PM onward.
