This tour gives you 11 days in Cambodia with 3 nights in Phnom Penh, 3 nights in Kampot, and 4 nights on Koh Rong Samloem or Koh Rong, with private transfers and round trip speedboat set in advance.
Some trips feel packed from the start. This one gives you room. We planned this Cambodia route for guests who want city time, coast time, and island time without spending half the trip working out how to get from one place to the next.
You start in Phnom Penh, where there is time to settle in and slow down after arrival. Then you head south to Kampot for river views, cafés, and easy days. After that, it is on to the island for sea, sand, and a few long, lazy afternoons. Simple? Yes. Boring? Not at all.
And there is one more thing I like about this plan. You keep control of your hotels. That means you can pick a small guesthouse, a beach resort, or something right in the middle.
What You Will Do
You will spend 11 days in Cambodia moving through three very different places, each with its own feel.
In Phnom Penh, you get time to arrive, rest, and enjoy the capital at your own pace. Some guests like the riverfront. Some go for markets, cafés, and local food. Some just want a good hotel and a slow first night. All of that works here.
In Kampot, the pace softens. The town sits by the river and has a laid-back feel that many guests love right away. It is the sort of place where a short walk often turns into a full afternoon. A coffee stop becomes lunch. Lunch turns into sunset by the water. That is Kampot.
Then comes the island part of the trip. You can choose Koh Rong Samloem for a quieter beach stay, or Koh Rong if you want a wider range of beach areas and resorts. Four nights on the island gives you proper beach time, not just a quick stop before the next transfer.
Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Phnom Penh
Arrive in Phnom Penh by flight, bus, or private overland transfer. We meet you on arrival and take you to your chosen hotel.
The rest of the day is free. Rest, eat, walk a little, or do nothing at all. After a travel day, that often feels just right.
Day 2: Phnom Penh free day
Today is open.
You may spend the day by the river, visit markets, stop for coffee, or plan your own city visits. No day tour is built into this package, so you set the pace.
Day 3: Phnom Penh free day
A second full day in Phnom Penh gives this trip a softer start. You do not need to rush out of the capital after one night.
Stay slow. Or go out early and make a full city day of it. Both work well.
Day 4: Phnom Penh to Kampot by private transfer
After breakfast, we arrange your private transfer from Phnom Penh to Kampot.
On arrival, we drop you at your chosen hotel. The rest of the day is free to settle in, walk by the river, or enjoy dinner in town.
Day 5: Kampot free day
Free day in Kampot.
Some guests stay close to town and enjoy the riverfront. Others plan their own short outings during the day. Kampot is very easy to like. It has that calm feel people often want after a city stay.
Day 6: Kampot free day
You have one more full day in Kampot.
This extra day makes a real difference. You are not just passing through. You have time to sit back, sleep a little longer, and enjoy the town without watching the clock.
Day 7: Kampot to Koh Rong Samloem or Koh Rong
Today you travel from Kampot to the island through Sihanoukville.
You may choose a private road transfer to the port, or a train trip from Kampot to Sihanoukville if the rail timing suits your stay. Many guests like the train for the views and the easy ride. If you choose the train, we arrange the hotel to station transfer in Kampot and the station to port transfer in Sihanoukville.
At the port, you board the speedboat to Koh Rong Samloem or Koh Rong. On arrival at the island, make your way to your chosen resort and enjoy your first island evening.
Day 8: Island free day
Free day on Koh Rong Samloem or Koh Rong.
Swim, rest, read, nap, walk the beach, order lunch twice... this is your island time.
Day 9: Island free day
Another full day on the island.
This is where the trip starts to feel easy in the best way. No bags to move. No long drive. Just your own plans.
Day 10: Island free day
Your last full day on the island is left open.
Take it slow from morning to night, or make it your big beach day. Four island nights gives you enough time to settle into the place rather than just pass through.
Day 11: Island to Phnom Penh
Take the morning speedboat back to Sihanoukville, where your private transfer waits for the trip back to Phnom Penh.
We can drop you in Phnom Penh city, at Phnom Penh Airport, or continue with an onward private transfer to another place in Cambodia if arranged in advance.

This is a transport based package. Hotels are left open so you can book the stay that fits your budget and travel style.
Public boat times may move by season, sea conditions, and operator timing. We confirm the latest working schedule before travel, but morning departure times from the islands may still shift.
If you want more island time, extra nights on Koh Rong Samloem or Koh Rong can be added. Just send the dates at the time of booking so all transfer timing can be lined up.
If you choose the train route from Kampot to Sihanoukville, the rail timing must match the speedboat timing on your travel date. When the train does not fit the boat plan, the private road transfer is the better option.
This trip works well for guests who want clear logistics but do not want a fixed daily plan. There is enough structure to keep the trip easy, and enough free time to make the days feel like your own.
If you want Cambodia with city days, river town time, and a proper island finish, this REZGO trip does the job very well. It keeps the travel plan clear, leaves the hotel choice in your hands, and gives you those extra nights that make the whole trip feel more relaxed. Book it as it is, or ask us to add more island time and shape the dates around your stay.
