Five smooth days in Siem Reap, with temple icons, a sunrise morning, life on Tonle Sap, and private airport rides at the start and end.

Some Siem Reap trips feel rushed before they even start. You land, look for a car, sort out timing, and then try to piece the temple days together on the fly. We do not plan trips that way.

We like this setup because it feels calm from day one. Your airport ride is ready. Your three touring days are already set. And the order makes sense. One outer temple day. One sunrise morning for the big names. One lake afternoon to break things up a bit. So yes, you see Angkor Wat, but you also get space to breathe.

This is a good fit for guests who want the famous sites without packing every hour too tight. You still get full temple mornings, carved stone, jungle-covered ruins, and those quiet moments that make Siem Reap special. But you also get time to rest, reset, and enjoy the trip like a human being... not a machine with a camera.

What You Will Do

Over 5 days and 4 nights, we take care of the parts that matter most.

You arrive at SAI, meet your driver, and head straight to your hotel in Siem Reap. On your first full touring day, you visit some of the most beautiful temples beyond the main Angkor route, including Pre Rup, Banteay Srei, Neak Pean, and Preah Khan. The next day starts before dawn for Angkor Wat sunrise, then continues to Ta Prohm, Angkor Thom, Bayon, and the South Gate.

After that, the pace softens. You get a slower morning, then an afternoon boat trip on Tonle Sap through Chong Khneas, where homes, shops, and daily routines sit on the water. On the last day, we take you back to the airport in a private vehicle, which is a nice way to end the trip. No last-minute taxi hunt. No stress.

Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Siem Reap
Arrive at Siem Reap Angkor International Airport. Our driver meets you outside the terminal with a name sign and helps with luggage. Then we drive you to your hotel in Siem Reap by private vehicle.
The ride takes about one hour, depending on traffic. Once you check in, the rest of the day is free. Take it slow. Have dinner nearby. Sleep early if you want. Tomorrow is your first full day out.

Day 2: Banteay Srei and Outer Temple Day
We pick you up from your hotel at around 8:00 AM.
Your day starts at Pre Rup, a striking temple mountain with bold lines and wide views. From there, you continue out toward Banteay Srei. This temple is smaller than many guests expect, but the carvings are stunning. Fine details, pink sandstone, and work so sharp it still catches people off guard.
Later, you return toward the Angkor area and stop at Neak Pean, set in the middle of a calm water basin. Then the day moves into Preah Khan, one of those temple sites that feels half-lost and half-alive. Trees, corridors, broken stone, quiet corners. It stays with you. By late afternoon, the light turns soft, and we return to town after a full and very good temple day.

Day 3: Angkor Wat Sunrise and Main Temple Icons
This is the early one. We pick you up between 4:15 AM and 4:35 AM.
You enter Angkor Wat before sunrise through the quieter eastern side. The dark walk in is part of the mood. Then the sky starts to shift, the towers come into view, and the whole place feels still for a few minutes. That is the magic of going early.
After sunrise, you spend time inside Angkor Wat with your guide, taking in the galleries, carvings, and upper levels. Then we continue to Ta Prohm, where giant tree roots press through old stone walls. After that, you move into Angkor Thom and Bayon, known for its many stone faces and calm, strange smiles. Before returning to your hotel, you also stop at the South Gate. Back in town around 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM.

Day 4: Free Morning and Tonle Sap Floating Village Afternoon
The morning is yours.
Sleep in. Have coffee. Take your time. Siem Reap works best when every day is not packed from dawn to dark.
At around 2:30 PM, we pick you up for your afternoon boat trip. You head to Chong Khneas and board a boat out on Tonle Sap. As you move through the area, you see houses, shops, and daily routines built around the water. Kids wave from boats. People work, cook, and move through the day in a way that feels so different from the temple zone.
Later in the afternoon, the light turns warm across the water and nearby fields. It is a softer day, but that is the point. You return to your hotel at around 7:00 PM.

Day 5: Departure Day
Check out of your hotel and meet your driver for your private return transfer to SAI.
It is a clean finish to the trip. Just get in, sit back, and head to the airport with plenty of time for your flight.

  • Breakfast is not included on the sunrise tour. If your hotel offers breakfast, you may request a breakfast box in advance.
  • This trip is not wheelchair accessible.
  • We suggest booking in advance, especially in busy travel months.

Some trips look good on paper, then feel messy in real life. This one does the opposite. It keeps the route clean, gives you the temple names you came for, and adds a very nice break on Tonle Sap so the whole stay feels balanced. If you want five days in Siem Reap with less fuss and more time for the parts that matter, this is a very good way to do it.
