A full private temple day built for smart timing, quiet early stops, calm photo moments, and a smooth finish at Angkor Wat before dusk.
Some temple days feel too packed. Too much driving. Too much heat. Too many stops pushed into the wrong order. We do this one in a way that feels better from the first hour.
Private Angkor Wat Grand Circuit is made for guests who want the big names, but want them at the right time of day. We start with Ta Prohm early, when it still feels calm. Then we head out to Banteay Srei while the morning still has a nice rhythm. Later, we loop back into Angkor Thom for gate photos and Bayon, then save Angkor Wat for the late part of the day, when the light is softer and the mood shifts.
That order matters. A lot, really.
You are not just ticking off temple names. You are seeing them when they feel better to walk, better to photograph, and easier to enjoy. And since this is private, the day stays open enough for real choice. Need a slower lunch? Fine. Want more time at Bayon? We can do that. Want a short extra walk along the wall or through more ruins in Angkor Thom? Just ask.
What You Will Do
This is a full private temple day with a smart loop through some of the most loved sites in the Angkor area.
● Leave your hotel at 6:30 AM and head straight to Ta Prohm.
● Walk through Ta Prohm while the temple still feels quiet. This is one of the nicest parts of the day. The roots, the stone halls, the soft light... it all lands better in the early morning.
● Stop for breakfast at about 8:00 AM. You can eat outside Ta Prohm or near Srah Srang. The meal is on your own, so you can keep it simple or take a bit more time.
● Drive to Banteay Srei and reach it at about 9:15 AM. This temple feels very different from the larger sites. Smaller scale, fine carvings, pink stone, and a more peaceful mood.
● Return toward Angkor Thom and stop at the North Gate at about 11:45 AM for photos.
● Visit Bayon at about 12:15 PM. Walk among the stone faces, take your time, and talk with your guide about the stories on the walls and the shape of the old city.
● Have lunch when it suits your group. We keep this part open on purpose.
● Stop at Victory Gate for more photos.
● If you want extra temple time, ask your guide for one of two walks:
● Walk from Bayon toward Preah Palilay, passing Baphuon and Phimeanakas.
● Walk along the Angkor wall from Victory Gate to Khmoch Gate for more views and photo stops.
● Reach Angkor Wat at about 3:30 PM and spend the late afternoon there until dusk.
● Return to your hotel at about 6:00 PM.
